Festival Focus - Sheepgate Equestrian 21

Sheepgate Equestrian (10 - 13 August) was a popular venue for Petplan Equine Area Festival goers. All trying to gain their place at the Championships in October, it was a musical weekend all round with one of the last festivals to qualify in a freestyle class. 

 

Petplan’s Picks!  

It was a double win for new-timers, Helen Taylor and Boogie Knight in the Freestyle Elementary Bronze with 71.28% and Freestyle Medium Bronze on 64.56%. Expressing her pride on social media, "My horse and I were at Sheepgate and won the elementary bronze FSM with 71.28% our first ever sash, we then won the FSM bronze Medium too the next day!" what an amazing start to their time together. 

There must have been something in the air, as another double win was taken by Sofia Jankiewicz and Boularouz, the fifteen year old gelding has been with Sofia for eight years and have competed regularly, but today they came out on top, Advanced Medium Silver with 65.90% and Freestyle Advanced Medium Silver on 70.44%. "Wow what a day! Absolutely over the moon with Bouli today. Huge thank you to my team and trainers who have helped me so much to get to this point, my super-groom mum who none of this would be possible to do without," said Sophia on her social media.
