British Dressage proudly announced KBIS as its insurance partner last summer and can now reveal that the brand will take on title sponsorship of one of the sport’s showcase series, the British Dressage Young Horse and Pony Championships. Having run for over 20 years, the ever-popular championship is the leading competition for breeders and young horse producers and has started the careers of a number of horses who’ve gone on to Grand Prix and to win medals for Great Britain.

In line with the British Dressage Articles of Association, the positions of Chair, International Director and Judges Director are open for election this year. This is an ideal opportunity for any members to get more involved in developing the future strategy and direction of BD, so please do volunteer your services and help support the sport you love.

The countdown to the 2022 NAF Five Star Winter Championships is well and truly on! Running 13 – 17 April at their well-established home of Hartpury College in Gloucestershire, the championships are taking shape with the key information hub now live and entries open.

Storm Eunice didn’t stop play at Easton College’s Winter Regional Championships (15 – 19 February 2022), though some rescheduling took place to provide safety for all, with Friday’s classes moved to Saturday to avoid the worst of the gales. Competitors were treated to four days of fantastic competition with Sarah Turner, Ruth Hole and Nikki Barker each taking a double win.

Myerscough’s Winter Regional Championships (12 – 17 February 2022) managed to escape the worst of storm Dudley. There were excellent results for Becky Moody and connections of Moody Dressage, including double wins for Kirstie Clarke and Broomhill Sports Horses’ Powered by Fürst Impression.

Due to the deteriorating weather forecast for the days following Storm Eunice, Beacons Equestrian and British Dressage have taken the decision to postpone the Petplan Equine Area Festival due to run 19 – 21 February.

With an amber warning in place ahead of the arrival of Storm Eunice, British Dressage and Myerscough International Equine Arena have made the sad decision to postpone the Equissage Pulse Winter Para Dressage Championships, due to run 18 – 20 February.
