It was a magical Moody moment on day two of the LeMieux National Dressage Championships as the Yorkshire rider claimed two small tour wins this afternoon. Often the bridesmaid, today Becky made it a fantastic Friday of her own.

Day one at the 2022 LeMieux National Championships was a fabulous start to four days of top-flight dressage action hosted by premier Cheshire venue, Somerford Park. 

Lottie Fry and Kjento have reclaimed Glamourdale’s 2018 World Young Horse title with an outstanding win at the Longines FEI WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championships for Young Horses, in Ermelo, the Netherlands (08 – 11 September 2022). Sadie Smith and Swanmore Dantina showed their class with a phenomenal top-five place, while Bart Veeze and Denton RMD performed superbly to finish ninth in the Final for six-year-old horses.

The Royal Household has confirmed that the state funeral for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will take place on Monday 19 September.  All British Dressage competition and training will therefore be cancelled on this date as a mark of respect.

As the nation and the world comes to terms with deeply sad news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, on Thursday 8 September 2022 at the age of 96, we reflect on the immense contribution and influence our magnificent monarch has had on the world of equestrian sport over her 70 years of reign.

Following the official guidance issued by the government on Friday 9 September, British Dressage can confirm that there can be respectful continuation of equestrian sport at all levels this weekend and during the period of national mourning. 

Following an announcement today by the FEI Board, a temporary derogation of the six-monthly EI vaccination booster requirement been confirmed by British Dressage for both national and international competition.

Anna Ross was unbeaten at the recent Crozet CDI3* in France (25 – 28 August 2022), where she swept the board in the Middle Tour with Marcelo Tosi’s exciting grey mare, Habouche.
