With Hickstead the next stop on a busy tour of spring internationals, a host of high-flying British youth riders made the most of a fantastic opportunity to gain selection scores and valuable arena time at a top-drawer event.

Towards the end of 2022, we invited members to take part in the British Dressage competitor survey, to help us understand how we can improve and enhance the competition experience for members at all levels of the sport.  

A British team combining experience and youth achieved an admirable fifth place out of ten nations at Compiègne CDIO5* in France (04 – 07 May 2023) - the first leg of the FEI Dressage Nations Cup™ of 2023. Lottie Fry stamped a new Freestyle PB with Everdale and was unbeaten in the CDI3* with Lars van de Hoenderheide.

Addington Premier League (28 – 30 April 2023) saw a number of horses achieving personal best scores or successfully stepping up a level, while the young horse classes showed an impressive array of young talent.

British Dressage royalty Charlotte Dujardin made an emphatic return to the arena at Windsor CDI (10 – 11 May), achieving a duo of victories following the birth of her daughter Isabella just two months ago.

It is with great sadness that British Dressage has learned of the passing of Honorary Vice President of the British Paralympic Association, Ann Cutcliffe OBE - a leading light in the world of para sport, and one of the most influential figures in leading Great Britain to its prominent position within Para Dressage.
