Charlotte Fry concluded a super 2019 with top placings aboard Dark Legend at Mechelen CDI-W in Belgium (26 – 30 December 2019) – the seventh leg of the FEI Dressage World Cup™ 2019/2020 Western European League.

Carl Hester saluted his "pretty clever old thing" Nip Tuck after he brought his dressage music to the TheraPlate UK Liverpool International Horse Show (28 - 31 December 2019).  

The following rider has been selected to represent Great Britain at the FEI Dressage World Cup™ qualifier in Mechelen, Belgium (26 – 30 December 2019).  

Following the success of the first BD Youth National Academy in 2019 we would like to congratulate the successful riders who have been selected as 2020 National Academy athletes.

British Dressage (BD) is delighted to announce a new venue for its flagship event, the LeMieux National Dressage Championships. After being based at Stoneleigh Park in Warwickshire for 20 years, the show will move to the world class venue of Somerford Park Farm in Cheshire, with the 2020 event taking place from 24 to 27 September in 2020. Title sponsors LeMieux have committed their support in a new three-year deal and will work closely with BD and Show Direct to launch a new era for everyone’s favourite annual dressage celebration.

British Dressage is delighted to launch a brand new Middle Tour Festival for 2020, giving more opportunity for riders competing at the FEI levels of Inter II, Inter A and Inter B.  

The British Equestrian Federation (BEF) is proud to announce exciting changes to the ‘team behind the team’ to bring leadership and stability for the sports of dressage, eventing, jumping and para-dressage ahead of next year’s Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games. Four established names, with over 70 years combined experience at Championship level, have been promoted into roles within the National Lottery and UK Sport funded Equestrian World Class Programme.

Charlotte Dujardin and Mount St John Freestyle delivered a spellbinding performance last night to win the freestyle, supported by Horse & Hound, at Olympia’s FEI World Cup™ qualifier. In the iconic Grand Hall, Olympia, in what can only be described as another epic night for British dressage, Charlotte Dujardin, Carl Hester and Charlotte (Lottie) Fry repeated their Monday night British one-two-three, with all seven home nation riders finishing top nine.    

What a night to get the 2019 instalment of the London International Horse Show underway! A new innovation, ‘Dressage Unwrapped’ drew a great crowd as names like Carl Hester, Gareth Hughes, Richard Davison, Richard Waygood, Pippa Funnell and Charlotte Dujardin gave a dissection of dressage and stripped everything back to basics to impart their considerable knowledge. That set the scene for an epic evening which, for the second year, featured a new pilot shortened Grand Prix test, supported by Horse & Hound.

The following horses and riders have been selected to represent Great Britain in the FEI Dressage World Cup™ qualifier held at the London International Horse Show, Olympia (16 – 17 December 2019).
