Henriette Andersen’s former top ride Louis D’Or has sadly passed away at the age of 23.

While the sport still comes to terms with the sad loss of Dr Wilfried Bechtolsheimer, we asked a number of the sport’s personalities to reflect on the person he was and the extensive legacy he leaves behind.

British Dressage (BD) is delighted to announce Alexandra Phillips as the new Regional Development Officer for the busy Central region. A BD member for over 20 years, Alex started her new role on 1 April and will cover Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Warwickshire, Herefordshire and Worcestershire.

The para dressage world lost one of its equine legends last week as Janeiro 6 gained his passage over the rainbow bridge, aged 23. Rio, as he was known, was the memorable partner of Sophie Christiansen and they stole the nation’s hearts with triple gold at the London 2012 Paralympic Games. Together they won a medal in every subsequent championship class they competed in together.
