Following further advice from the government and Sport England, British Dressage is pleased to announce the resumption of affiliated competition activity in England, with effect from 1 July onwards. Further announcements from the devolved administrations in Scotland and Wales are expected later this week and BD will update plans for those two regions accordingly.

It is with great sadness that British Dressage has learned of the passing of longstanding dressage supporter and List 2A Judge, Sue Howard. Sue died peacefully on Tuesday 9 June 2020, in her 90th year.

With new lockdown measures in place for the home nations, training can now get back underway for British Dressage members, under the regional structure, with Scotland and Wales joining England in the amber ‘response’ phase of our operational plan for the resumption of activity.

All the home nations in Great Britain now have revised lockdown conditions, facilitating some increased activity with horses for participants, coaches and venues. In liaison with governments, sporting bodies and member bodies, British Equestrian can now release the following update on what’s now permitted as of 1 June.

Across Great Britain, governments have made further announcements to ease the home nations out of coronavirus lockdown.  New guidelines were confirmed yesterday for England and Scotland by the Prime Minister and First Minister, while an update on the restrictions in Wales was also provided this afternoon.

British Dressage (BD) is delighted to release a calendar of training dates covering June to August, which will mark the resumption of training activity across the eight regions.  All organised activity was suspended at the end of March due to the coronavirus pandemic and extended up to and including 31 May 2020.
