Day two at the LeMieux National Grand Prix Championships was a Christmas cracker with Britain’s fifteen finest putting their best hooves forward for freestyle glory.

Day one at the LeMieux National Grand Prix Championships yielded first class dressage from Britain's elite with newcomers and familiar faces bringing their A-game for one last shot at glory in 2020.

Changes in coronavirus restrictions for three home nations were announced by the leaders. Areas of England and the entirety of Wales will go into tighter restrictions and Scotland will do the same from 26 December. 

With tier conditions tightening in Scotland set to continue beyond the Christmas period, we have made the decision to move the dates for the Regional and two Petplan Equine Area Festivals scheduled in the region. We hope that this gives more time for conditions to improve.

Just two weeks remain for combinations to secure their last minute qualification points for the Winter Regional Championships with a 31 December deadline. With the COVID pandemic disrupting the summer season extensively, the decision was taken to roll any part or full qualifications into the winter period.

Qualification emails for the Winter Regionals and Petplan Equine Winter Area Festivals have just started leaving BDHQ. If you think you’ve qualified, please keep an eye on your inbox and remember to check your junk/clutter too. The process to get the thousands of emails out takes around six days to complete, so you may not get yours just yet – so please keep checking over the coming days.
