After the excitement of the selection of the Olympic team, Hartpury CDI3* (07 – 11 July 2021) was a chance for Grand Prix riders in contention for a place on the British team for the European Championships in September to show their skills.

At the weekend, Great Britain’s Annabella Pidgley made British dressage history as the nation’s first ever individual medallist at an FEI Junior European Championships. In Oliva Nova, Spain (05-11 July 2021), her exceptional performances won both Individual and Freestyle silver, whilst our Junior and Young Rider teams showed much promise on the European stage.

Nominations were invited from members for Board Director roles covering the portfolios of Training and Para. Two candidates came forward for the post of Para Director and one for the Training Director role. All three candidates have been reviewed and interviewed by the Nominations Committee and will now be put to the membership for an election conducted as outlined below.

With the Summer Regionals kicking off this weekend, we're releasing the qualification ratios for each level to progress to the LeMieux National Championships at Somerford Park in Cheshire, 16 – 19 September.

As the dust settles after the NAF Five Star Winter Championships, competition at Hartpury is back in full swing this week for the NAF Five Star Hartpury Festival of Dressage (07-11 July 2021). The five-day festival has attracted riders from 11 nations across the CDI3* and CPEDI3* classes, alongside Premier League competition and Shearwater Insurance Young Horse semi-finals.

Following the delayed completion of the 2020 Foundation Academy programme, we are pleased to announce that 12 riders have now been selected onto the Sport England-funded National Academy for 2021.

Following a successful NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships and Petplan Equine Winter Area Festival Championships last week, where a total of 1,039 combinations went down the centre line across the two championships, we now turn our attention to the LeMieux National Dressage Championships, which takes place in just ten weeks’ time.

The British Dressage U21 Selectors have completed the selection process for the FEI Dressage European Championships for Pony riders in Strzegom, Poland, 11 – 15 August 2021 and are delighted to confirm which riders will be representing Great Britain.
