With our first Winter Regional getting underway at Arena UK in Lincolnshire today, we can now publish the qualification ratios for competitors who qualify for the NAF Five Star Winter Championships at Hartpury, 19 - 23 April 2023. 

British Dressage Combined Training returns from Saturday 21 January, with combinations aiming to reach for the stars in six dual-discipline classes.

The opening High Profile Show fixture in the 2023 BD calendar takes place this week at Vale View Equestrian in Leicestershire (13 – 15 January 2023), featuring three days of action brought live to subscribers by Horse & Country. The first major domestic fixture of the year, it has attracted top riders from across the UK.

World number one Lottie Fry dominated the CDI3* Big Tour classes at Exloo CDI (05 – 08 January 2023), winning both the Grand Prix and Special with her long-time ride, Dark Legend, plus the Freestyle with promising young talent, Don Joe (pictured). Annabella Pidgley and Gio performed strongly on their second Senior appearance, while Van Olst Horses’ Jackson made a winning international debut and Angus Corrie-Deane and Jack Johnson 2 placed well at Small Tour.

The British Equestrian Federation (BEF) recently announced that a new advisory group has been formed to provide guidance and recommendations in the key strategic area of equine wellbeing and welfare standards. 

The following rider has been selected to represent Great Britain this week at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival 1 at Wellington in Florida, USA (11 – 15 January 2023).

Following an exciting Foundation Academy season at the end of 2022, 12 National Academy Athletes have been selected to be part of the 2023 National Academy, funded by Sport England. All athletes at the Foundation Academies demonstrated hard work and determination in their training and development both at the camps and at home between camps.
