Friday at the LeMieux Nationals didn't disappoint as the sun shone down on Somerford Park. With two brand new first-time champions, alongside some familiar faces, the competition heated up as day two drew to a close.

An early rainstorm cleared the way for a bright day one at the LeMieux National Championships, where ten new champions were crowned at the flagship event in the BD calendar. 

The High Profile Show at Bury Farm in Buckinghamshire (25 - 27 August 2023) saw Joseph Bright and Jezz Palmer take three wins each while Richard White made a rare appearance in the arena to clinch Sunday’s Grand Prix.

The Scottish National Equestrian Centre in West Lothian hosted their Summer Regional Championships on the 29 - 30 July and homebred winners were very much to the fore.

Britain’s Lottie Fry and Charlotte Dujardin have achieved a history-making double podium in the Grand Prix Freestyle on the concluding day at the FEI European Championships.  

British riders have rounded off the Para Dressage European Championships in Riesenbeck with an outstanding campaign in the race for Freestyle medal glory. The Grade II saw Georgia Wilson take silver, in the Grade V Sophie Wells brought home bronze, while Gabby Blake finished tantalisingly close to the medals in the Grade I, and Charlotte Cundall took fifth in the Grade V.

Whilst home favourite Jessica von Bredow-Werndl claimed the gold, Britain stole three of the first five placings and Charlotte Dujardin returned to the podium, with Imhotep coming of age in the FEI European Championship Grand Prix Special.  

An exciting British team, comprising Gabby Blake, Sophie Wells, Charlotte Cundall and Georgia Wilson, has won Bronze behind the Netherlands and Germany at the FEI Para Dressage European Championships in Riesenbeck, together with each athlete securing a place to ride in tomorrow’s Freestyle medal competition. With two new team faces, three horses making their FEI Championship debut, and four new PBs achieved by superb riding, there was much to celebrate with this bright British line-up.
