British riders were on winning form last week, both sides of the Atlantic. Susan Pape and Harmony’s V-Plus completed a dual win at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival 7 at Wellington in Florida (21 – 25 February 2024), while Emma Howson and Junky XL won the Young Rider Individual Test at Cascais CDI in Portugal (16 – 18 February 2024).

Competitors were in fine form for the Winter Regional Championships at Chard Equestrian (17 – 18 February 2024), where the freestyle winners hit the high notes and the high scores, and plenty of talented combinations collected their ticket to the NAF Five Star Winter Championships.

The Winter Regionals at Little Mill saw a host of top names travelling to the idyllic Carmarthenshire venue, producing some impressive results across three days of competition (23 – 25 February 2024).  

The following horse and rider combinations have been selected to represent Great Britain this week at Lier CDI4*, CDI3*, CDI1*, CDIY/J/P in Belgium (27 February – 03 March 2024).

The 2024 Winter Regional Championships reached the midway point with the fourth fixture of the eight-part series taking place at Bishop Burton College in East Yorkshire (13 – 17 February 2024). Deciding on the right winter diet for your dressage horse can be a minefield, here’s what to consider and how to ensure your horse is getting everything he needs through the winter months, where turnout may be limited. 

Myerscough’s Winter Regional Championships (10 – 14 January 2024) witnessed five days of thrilling competition as those who travelled to the Lancashire venue went head-to-head in a bid to qualify for the NAF Five Star Winter Championships in April. Kirstie Clarke achieved an impressive treble, Jess Dunn, Freya Metters and Sarah Rao took two wins apiece, while mother and daughter duo Ros and Bridget Tate each sealed a win.

RoR are to extend their support of former racehorses taking part in British Dressage activity, with additional awards at the Red Gorilla Combined Training Championships.

The 2024 Winter Regional Championships continued at Onley Grounds Equestrian Centre in Warwickshire, where a further 22 regional winners were crowned over five days of competition (31 January – 04 February 2024). It was a show to remember for young rider Gracie Catling, who clocked up an impressive five wins amongst seven top-three placings, while Dannie Morgan and Sadie Smith each achieved a winning double.
