The British Equestrian Federation (BEF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Fellows as its new Chief Executive.

British Dressage is proud to welcome back this dedicated championship for purebred and partbred Spanish horses which will be hosted by Keysoe EC in Bedfordshire on Saturday 29th September 2018.

Following a review of our Sport Operations function within British Dressage, a number of changes have been agreed by the Board to enable us to ensure that we have the right level of resources to support the development of the sport going forward.

2018 is a huge year for British Dressage, not only are we unveiling new Championships, sending our super seniors and paras to the World Equestrian Games, developing our U21 international teams, launching our BD Youth strategy and focusing on building better foundations for our grassroots riders, but it’s also the official 20th anniversary of BD!

We are very sad to hear of the passing of Brigit Powell at the age of 84. Brigit was a dedicated judge, writer and horse owner, as well as being a profound supporter of the sport.

British Dressage is proud to present the Lusitano Dressage Championships for a fourth year. Riders of Lusitano horses will again have the opportunity to qualify for a dedicated championship final to be held at Keysoe EC in Bedfordshire on Saturday 29th September 2018. 

Internationally renowned equine therapy company Niagara Equissage has kick started their year by joining forces with British Dressage as official sponsor of the BD National Equissage Pulse Para Programme and Equissage Pulse Para Dressage Championships.

Open to 11 breeds native to Great Britain and part breds, this championship is a popular series for riders of these attractive ponies.

British Dressage is proud to present the Draught Horse Championships for a third year following its huge popularity in 2017. Riders of these majestic breeds will now have the opportunity to qualify for a prestigious championship hosted by Keysoe in Bedfordshire on Sunday 30 September 2018. 

Last weekend, the RAI Amsterdam set the scene for the sixth leg of the FEI World Cup™ Dressage 2017/2018 Western European League (26-27 January 2018). Defending World Cup Champions Isabell Werth and Weihegold OLD (GER) were victorious by a distance, though places down the line were a close-fought affair of dressage megastars.
