Team Hayler proved a powerful force at Bishop Burton’s winter regionals (20 – 23 February) with Paul and daughter Bobby taking home four titles between them.  

The British Equestrian Federation (BEF), British Dressage, British Eventing and British Showjumping are delighted to announce that they will form a joint working party to explore the potential for closer collaboration across equestrian sport.  This follows recent discussions between the BEF Interim Chair Malcolm Wharton and Interim Chief Executive Iain Graham and Boards of each of the Olympic Disciplines, where the concept was received positively.

The organising team at Merrist Wood (15-21 February) had to be quick on their feet to reorganise the show to accommodate the terrible weather brought by Storm Dennis. Saturday’s classes were brought forward by a day and all but one of Sunday’s classes moved.

Great Britain’s Lottie Fry and Dark Legend impressed with an emphatic Grand Prix second and two personal best scores at the penultimate FEI Dressage World Cup™ qualifier in Gothenburg, Sweden (19 – 23 February 2020).  

The following riders have been selected to represent Great Britain this week at Lier CDI in Belgium (26 February – 1 March 2020).

The fifth BD Winter Regional Championships of 2020 took place last week at Easton College in Norfolk (18 – 22 February 2020). A further 19 regional champions were crowned and many came a step closer to their goal of competing at the NAF Five Star Winter Championships in April.  

British riders were on top form last week at Le Mans CDI in France (13 – 16 February 2020). Sonnar Murray-Brown made a winning return to international competition following time-out with a broken leg, whilst Laura Tomlinson stormed the Grand Prix Special with exciting prospect, Rose of Bavaria.

The British contingent that crossed The Channel to contest the Youth divisions at Le Mans CDI in France enjoyed success with both Izzy Lickley and Mette Dahl raising the flag for Great Britain (13 – 16 February 2020).  

Louise Bell and Into the Blue continued their maiden FEI Dressage World Cup™ series with a top-ten place at Neumünster CDI-W in Germany (13 – 16 February 2020).
