The on-form British combination of Susan Pape and Harmony’s Eclectisch were unbeaten in the CDI4* at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival 3 at Wellington in Florida, USA (26 – 30 January 2022).

In week three, new PB performances from Susan and the 13-year-old Zenon-sired stallion, who she owns with Harmony Amateur Sports Foundation, certainly made the duo’s mark. Victors in Thursday’s Grand Prix for Special by a considerable margin on 73.239%, they later went on to claim Saturday’s Grand Prix Special with a super score of 72.341%.

Susan and ‘Ecci’, who earned themselves a spot on the third-placed British team at Aachen CDIO5* last year (pictured), continue to go from strength to strength as is evidenced with their success so far at this 12-week-long festival held at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. Incorporating eight CDIs all 'under one roof’, the festival is a popular training ground for dressage competitors from both the USA and those, such as Susan, who travel from Europe.

At the small tour levels, she and Harmony’s Giulilanta continue to dominate in Wellington. Adding to a brace of CDI1* wins on week one, the 11-year-old Jazz-sired chestnut mare once again showed her class to take the victory in both the Prix St Georges and Inter I. Their closest challenger was the home nation’s Ali Potasky with her nine-year-old Everdale son, Inxs, who impressed to take second on both occasions.
