Competitors heading to the Scottish Winter Regional Championships at Morris Equestrian Centre over the coming days should be aware there is a weather warning in operation for much of the UK due to Storm Ciara bringing high winds and rain.

The team at Morris has plenty of stabling available and are happy to accommodate you if you want to make your journey earlier than planned or stay on longer – just book directly with them.

Some advice:

  • check www.trafficscotland.org (bridge restrictions and reduced speed limits on exposed carriageways may be in place)
  • Call a friend you know to be at the venue to check on actual conditions
  • Allow plenty of time for travel and for your horse to catch his breath when you arrive
  • Bring extra forage and rugs for your horse in case you want to defer your journey home to a time when conditions are a little better

Several members of the BD Scotland Committee will be around at various points over the weekend and will be very happy to chat on any matters you want to raise.
