Thinking about Area Festivals for 2019?

With the Petplan Equine Area Festivals now complete for 2018 and riders now in final preparation for the next Finals round, thoughts may be turning to qualifying for next year’s series.

There’s been some debate on social media on the date the period opens and we’d like to take this opportunity to confirm that the qualification window opens on 1 October. You have until 14 days before the closing date of your Petplan Equine Area Festival of choice to complete that qualification.

It’s a great chance to use those late autumn, early winter months to bag your scores so you can put a big tick in the box for your 2019 competition goals – before the year has even begun!

The Sport Operations Team will continue to review the series in conjunction with the technical committee and looking at the benefits and challenges of moving to a 1 December start day will be fully explored for the future.

Next year promises to be extra special for British Dressage’s largest championship series as we’ll be celebrating 20 years of support by loyal sponsors, Petplan Equine, so make sure it’s in your 2019 calendar.
