Support your sport by joining a BD Committee

Are you passionate about our sport? We’re looking for a number of volunteers who can make a positive contribution to two of our Technical Committees.
Volunteering with British Dressage can be extremely rewarding, and it gives you the chance to be a part of the team who shape, influence and promote our sport – the perfect opportunity to make a difference while giving something back.
The Technical Committees are sub-committees of the British Dressage Board and exist to provide input to the Board-level discussion and decisions that shape our sport. From offering feedback on new initiatives, to policy recommendations and guidance, the contribution of those members to our Technical Committees is both vital and valued.
Role Vacancies
Rules & Fixtures Committee
We’re looking for four people to join the Rules & Fixtures Technical Committee, which supports all opportunities and activity relating to national competition, championships and rules. The Committee is chaired by Sport Operations Director Derek Pullem, alongside the leadership of Sport Operations Manager Lou Jones.
The vacant roles on the committee are:
- BD Steward Representative
- Venue Organiser Representative
- International Rider Representative
- Grassroots Rider Representative

RULES & FIXTURES ROLE DESCRIPTION
Officials Committee
The Officials Technical Committee provides the technical knowledge and expertise behind all initiatives and activities relating to judges and stewards. Chaired by the Judges Director Peter Storr, with the input of Training & Education Manager Charlotte Osborne and the Officials Education Supervisor, the committee supports the decision-making process for the development of our officials at all levels.
We’re looking to fill the following vacancies:
- Events Coordinator
- BD Steward Representative
- Grassroots Judge Representative (List 3a and below)
- Rider Representative
