With the Summer Regionals Championships getting underway this weekend, we’re releasing the qualification ratios for each level to progress to the LeMieux National Championships at Somerford Park in Cheshire, 14 – 17 September.
Please take note of the following:
- Combinations scoring below 65% will not be eligible for qualification for the LeMieux National Dressage Championships as stated in the British Dressage Members Handbook, UNLESS IT IS BY A WILD CARD.
- The number qualifying from each Summer Regional class will depend on the number of starters in that particular class according to the conversion charts. The number of qualifications per level varies according to the total number of horses qualified for the Regionals and the number of spaces available at the LeMieux National Dressage Championships.
- A ‘starter’ is a horse that enters the competition arena and goes down the centre line, even if it withdraws before finishing.
- The number of starters will not be known until the class is finished after which the organiser will calculate how many have qualified and mark them on the scoreboard. The number of direct qualifications will be announced at the prize giving.
- The last Summer Regional finishes on Thursday 3rd August. The BD Office will calculate how many unfilled spaces there are for each class at the LeMieux National Dressage Championships. THESE SPACES WILL BE FILLED BY THE HIGHEST SCORING UNQUALIFIED COMBINATIONS FROM ALL THE REGIONALS.
- The names of the combinations awarded wild cards will be put on the BD website. Please do not telephone the BD Office regarding wild card allocation before they are added to the website.
NB: No late entries will be accepted for the LeMieux National Dressage Championships.
