Summer Regional Championships 24: Parwood EC

Congratulations to the riders who collected LeMieux National Championship qualification tickets at Parwood Equestrian Centre Summer Regional Championships, which took place at the Surrey venue from 19-21 July 2024.

Kate Warner and Grand Romance

Kate Warner, who travelled from her home on the island of Jersey, was on top form to win a Regional Championship treble. Riding her six-year-old mare Grand Romance (Grey Flannel x Fürst Romancier) - pictured, Kate won the BETTALife Novice Silver on 68.95% and the HorseQuest Elementary Silver with a strong score of 70.10%, as well as winning the Saracen Horse Feeds Intermediate I Silver with her 11-year-old, Don Frederic-sired Don Divo (67.70%).

Ashley Jenkins and Jezz Palmer each achieved two wins at Parwood, with Ashley also earning the highest score across all classes with Noerremoellehoej’s Touch Down (Tuschinski x Londonderry). The six-year-old Danish gelding, owned and ridden by Ashley, won The Centre Line preliminary Gold on 74.60% together with the BETTALife Novice Gold, topping the leaderboard on 72.96%.

Jezz Palmer’s wins came in the Bret Willson Dressage International Advanced Medium Gold, scoring 71.67% with Martin Price’s eight-year-old Romanno Weltino, and the Saracen Horse Feeds Intermediate I Gold in which he claimed the win with Katie Oliver-Games’ Chippendale-sired mare, Honey d’Or, on a score of 71.08%.
