The BD Regional Celebration Awards took place at the Draycote Hotel, Warwickshire, on Thursday 24 October, recognising some outstanding BD members.

From riders to coaches, judges, stewards, and volunteers, there’s a vast network of people who make the sport happen; the Regional Celebration Awards seek to shine a light on those in the six BD regions who stand out for their dedication, hard work, engagement with their region, and positivity.

Following the Annual General Meeting on 24 October, ten awards were given that recognise outstanding contribution in key areas, as well as some standout achievements in the saddle.

Each of the six regions were asked to put forward candidates for the awards, with nominations based on criteria including; achievements over the last 12 months, contribution to and awareness across the region, a commitment to BD values, and support for regional activities.

The nominations are then considered by an independent panel of former Regional Chairs, headed by the BD Chair Jill Day, who was present at the Draycote Hotel, Warwickshire, to make the awards in front of an enthusiastic audience.
