British Dressage is delighted to announce the 2020 Senior Home International will be held at Vale View Equestrian in Leicestershire, 4-6 September. Vale View is set in 200 acres in the heart of Leicestershire and run by an experienced and friendly team, led by owners Julie and Mark Hyslop. A recent European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development grant has enabled them to significantly expand their outdoor arena space making this one of the largest facilities on offer in the UK.

The Senior Home International (SHI) moves round the home nations each year and this year was due to be held in Scotland.  Sport Operations manager Lou Jones commented; “Whilst the Scotland region would love to host the 2020 Senior Home International, at this time we don’t have a venue with sufficient arena capacity to accommodate the scale of competition space that this prestigious event now requires. We hope to be in a position in the future to be able to welcome the competition to Scotland again. We’re looking forward to working with Julie and Vale View team to making this year’s SHI one of the best yet.”

The SHI annually brings together teams from England, Wales, Scotland and Ireland to go head to head for the honour of being the best team. Teams are made up of four riders, three competing at Novice, Elementary and Medium plus one at Advanced Medium or Prix St Georges.
