Preview: Vale View Premier League

The penultimate Premier League fixture in the BD calendar is hosted this week at Vale View Equestrian in Leicestershire (16 – 19 June 2021), which promises four days of great action being brought live to subscribers by Horse & Country. Running from today through to Saturday, the event has attracted many top riders from around the UK. Congratulations and good luck to Julie and her team on hosting their first Premier League!

Thursday’s feature class, which can be watched via H&C+, is the LeMieux Grand Prix starting at 14:30. With a start list of 28, the class features medallists and Tokyo nominated riders Laura Tomlinson, Emile Faurie and Gareth Hughes plus a host of other exciting partnerships to look out for.

Laura has two rides – DSP Rose of Bavaria (17:01) and rising star Fallatijn (18:30), Emile brings his talented partner Shilo (16:45) whilst Gareth Hughes will ride KK Dominant who had fantastic results at the recent Wellington CDI.

Friday’s televised classes include the Saracen Horse Feeds Intermediate I at 11:00, the U25 Grand Prix starting at 13:00, followed by the Grand Prix Special which gets underway at 14:20.

Our U21 riders take centre stage riding their respective FEI Team Test in the FEI PYO class on Saturday morning, commencing at 08:52. The Grand Prix Freestyle follows at 12:50 before action in Arena 1 is taken into the afternoon with the Haygain Intermediate II from 14:10 to 15:30.
