POSTPONEMENT: Petplan Equine Winter Area Festival at Beacons Equestrian

Due to the deteriorating weather forecast for the days following Storm Eunice, Beacons Equestrian and British Dressage have taken the decision to postpone the Petplan Equine Area Festival due to run 19 – 21 February.

The plan at this stage is to reschedule to Friday 11 to Sunday 13 March with all entries transferring over. The schedule information will be updated in the coming days with the final information. Competitors who are unable to make the revised dates should get in touch with the venue direct. No new entries will be accepted for the revised date.

Lou Jones, BD’s Sport Operations Manager commented; “We’ve been watching the weather forecast closely all day and it’s been changing hour by hour. Development Officer for Wales Vanessa Archer and Penny Jenner from Beacons Equestrian have talked almost hourly but we felt the decision was right for all concerned. It’s a tough call but safety is paramount. Vanessa and Penny have worked quickly to get a new date in the diary, and we hope the majority of competitors can transfer over to the March date. We’re grateful to members for their understanding and hope the weather in the coming weeks is more kind.”
