Path to Paris ‘Have a Go’ Events

If you’ve been inspired by watching our Olympic team flying the flag for Great Britain in Paris, why not take part in one of the ‘Have a Go’ events taking place across the six BD regions over the next two months. 

-->The ‘Path to Paris’ has already captured the hearts and minds of a new generation of equestrians, so we’re making the most of Olympic fever by providing a perfect opportunity for any aspiring rider to experience dressage for the first time. 

 

Our Have a Go days are designed to give newcomers an introduction to British Dressage competitions and training activity, in a relaxed, informal and fun setting. The events are also open to any previous members itching to get back in the saddle after seeing our team in action in France. 

Here’s what’s included in the day: 

First-hand help  
Get support from a BD registered coach in the warm-up, so you can feel supported on the way to taking your first steps in the arena.  

Test riding feedback 
Ride a dressage test and receive verbal feedback, along with a written test sheet, from a BD Listed Judge.  

Rewards for all 
All participants will receive a rosette for taking part, along with a BD Class Ticket, which allows holders to try an affiliated competition for free before signing up to a membership.  

Expert support 
Speak to our team about all things British Dressage. We’ll have BD ambassadors at the event to talk to you about membership, competition opportunities and further training.   

All six BD Regions are hosting two events, with dates available throughout August and September. The invitation to take part in our ‘Have a Go’ events is extended to all non-members and previous members.  BD has subsidised the cost of these events, so it’s just £10 to take part, with no membership or further financial commitment required.
