NDPCE 2019/20 applications open

The National Development Programme for Coaching Excellence is aimed at coaches working with adults and young people who participate in equestrian sport for competitive recreation motives.

Coaches looking to join this programme will be ambitious in improving their own performance and will already have success in getting more people participating in equestrian sports and retaining them by creating enjoyable coaching environments. This is a cross discipline programme involving; British Showjumping, British Dressage, British Eventing, The Pony Club, British Horse Society, British Endurance.

The National Development Programme for Coaching Excellence programme is now accepting applications for 2019/2020. The programme will have four aims; to recognise the importance of high performing coaches working with riders at a recreational level, use research and case studies from within and outside of equestrian sport to inform coaching practice, support coaches to reflect and review their own performance and set personal development plans and develop coaches with expertise that can influence coaching programmes that improve rider experiences.

Who should apply?

  • Coaches wanting to improve their own performance and be interested in supporting recreational competitions
  • Coaches with UKCC level 3 qualification or equivalent
  • Coaches demonstrating a degree of high performing criteria

Interview Dates

Weeks commencing 26 August and 2 September 2019.

  • 21 - 22 October 2019
  • 10 - 11 December 2019
  • 11 - 12 February 2019
  • 21 - 22 April 2020
