British Dressage Combined Training returns from Saturday 21 January, with combinations aiming to reach for the stars in six dual-discipline classes.
Variety is a proven way to improve both horse and rider physical and mental welfare, and we’re delighted to see our showcase of variety and fun getting under way this week. The British Dressage Combined Training Championships mix fancy footwork with joyful jumping as combinations have the opportunity to compete in six different title opportunities, with a choice of heights and levels.
Jumping starts from 70cm with Prelim and continue to 100cm with Elementary, with Prelim and Novice options open to combinations who’ve not competed at Medium and above, and Elementary open to any combination at any level/eligibility no matter of their previous competition record. To qualify for the thrilling Championship finale, taking place at Warwickshire venue Onley Grounds on 15 – 16 April, simply place in the top two in any class at any qualifier.
The minimum membership requirements are lowered for our Combined Training series, which makes it one of our most accessible competition opportunities. All you need to take part is a minimum of an BD Community Membership and Horse Registration competing on a Class Ticket, whilst the opportunity is also open to Club and Full members. For those picking up golden qualification tickets, the Championships require a minimum of a Club membership and horse registration. If you would like support with your membership, please contact the BD membership team to ask any questions about getting involved with this super cross-discipline opportunity.
