The Equestrian Employers Association (EEA) is thrilled to announce Good Employment Week, an initiative aimed at championing fair, professional, kind and compliant employment practices across the equestrian industry.

Running from 18-22 November, this important campaign highlights the importance of creating positive, supportive and legally compliant workplaces that attract and retain talented professionals.

The EEA is encouraging all employers to showcase their commitment to best practices by embracing resources like the Code of Good Employment and accessing tools to simplify workforce management.

Getting involved is simple: explore the resources available on the EEA website, share your stories on social media, and, of course, take part in the highlight of Good Employment Week: Give Your Staff a Pizza Day on Friday 22nd November!

Jason Brautigam, British Dressage CEO, shared his support of good employment practice: "At British Dressage, we believe that a positive employment experience is essential if we are to attract the highest calibre of individuals to work within the equine sector.

Good employment practices, supported by quality training, education and development, are vital to retain the best staff, who are equipped with the right skills, knowledge and experience, to fulfil their roles to the best of their ability.

Last year we launched apprenticeship-based education routes in both horse management and business, with added value qualifications and workplace experiences.  BD is committed to supporting employers by providing apprenticeship placements through the scheme, to achieve the best practice standards included in the Equine Employers Association's Code of Good Employment.

Any business or organisation, no matter how big or small, is only as good as the staff that it employs.  Employees must always be respected and valued, but it’s also important that everyone’s contribution is recognised and rewarded too.  We continue to work closely with the EEA and other industry partners to promote working environments in dressage that offer the same high standards that we aim to achieve as employers ourselves."
