Reigning world champions Lottie Fry and Van Olst Horses Glamourdale successfully launched their outdoor campaign last week at Fontainebleau CDI5*, France (19 - 23 April 2023).

At the verdant Printemps des Sports Equestres in Fontainebleau, Lottie Fry continued her winning streak on board wonder horse Glamourdale, achieving a duo of victories in convincing style. In the Grand Prix Fry rode to 79.94%, with a mistake in the two-tempi changes the only hindrance in keeping the score beneath 80% in an otherwise sublime performance. Returning in the Grand Prix Freestyle with their crowd-pleasing 'Best of British' programme, the combination produced a test full of highlights, power and harmony to be rewarded 89.36% by an experienced panel of Maria Colliander (FIN), Jacques Van Daele (BEL), Jean-Michel Roudier (FRA), Isobel Wessels (GBR) and Eduard De Wolf Van Westerode (NED). The nearest competition to Lottie in both the Grand Prix and the Grand Prix Freestyle was Germany's Dorothee Schnieder, who presented the Fuerst Romancier son First Romance 2.

Speaking on social media Lottie commented, "he [Glamourdale] was so happy and excited to be competing here and took me through the tests giving an incredible feeling in our first outdoor of the season."
