Dual win for Susan Pape and Harmony’s V-Plus at Wroclaw CDI3*

Susan Pape and the exciting prospect, Harmony’s V-Plus, were unbeaten at the recent Wroclaw CDI3* in Poland (26-29 October 2023), winning both the Grand Prix and Grand Prix Special on the young stallion’s first international big tour appearance.
Susan, who is based with her husband Ingo in Hemmoor, North West Germany, debuted Harmony’s V-Plus to win the CDI3* Grand Prix on a superb score of 71.196%, followed by the Grand Prix Special with a pleasing 67.830%.
Harmony’s V-Plus (Vivaldi x Fürst Romancier), a nine-year-old Oldenburg stallion owned by Susan and Harmony Sporthorses of Kiowa, Colorado, was on winning form earlier this year at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival in Florida, USA, where he made a winning small tour debut. Prior to Wroclaw he had competed at one national Grand Prix at home in Germany.
“I was very happy in the Grand Prix - he was so with me, he was very light, and did everything I asked of him,” commented Susan. “Sure enough the changes could be more forward, that will be the icing on the cake in future, but it was only his second ever Grand Prix and I was very happy.
“He did one national Grand Prix, then had a little break before Wroclaw, and he’s having another small break before we prepare to go to Florida for the winter,” continued Susan, who’ll soon be flying Stateside to compete at the Adequan® Global Dressage Festival for the ninth time of her career. “It’s so nice there because you can focus on the horses and really pick your classes, and everything is close by.”
Describing Harmony’s V-Plus, Susan added; “He’s very sweet and, although he’s a breeding stallion, with riding he is absolutely with you. He’s very easy to travel and easy at shows. He’s a pleasure.”
