British Dressage is delighted to confirm the team line-up for the 2023 Young Rider European Championships, which take place early next month at Pilisjászfalu, Hungary (11– 16 July 2023).

Selected combinations at definite entry stage are as follows, listed in alphabetical order by athlete surname:

Young Rider Team

India Durman-Mills (18) from Leicester, Leicestershire, with Verity Saul’s Escade (bay gelding, 2009, Jazz, KWPN).

Lily Laughton (19) from Chippenham, Wiltshire, with Alicia Laughton's Skovborgs Romadinov (chestnut gelding, 2006, DWB).

Jessica McConkey (21) from Watlington, Oxfordshire, with her own Lady Gaga (bay mare, 2009, Quaterback x Solos Landwind, DWB).

Annabella Pidgley (18) from Windsor, Berkshire, with Sarah Pidgley’s Espe (bay mare, 2014, Escolar x Dimaggio, WESTF).

First reserve
Lilah Gibbs (21) from London, with her own Dude III (black gelding, 2011, Dancier x Rubinstein, HANN).

Second reserve
Claudia Davis (19) from Loughton, Essex, with her own Fergus RT (black gelding, 2010, Uphill x Ferro, KWPN).

As announced on Friday 16 June, Ruby Hughes was qualified and selected as a nominated entry for both the Young Rider and Junior teams, with the latter stated as the Selectors' first preference. As she cannot compete in both age groups, the nominated Young Rider First Reserve, India Durman-Mills, will now take her place on the Young Rider team.

We wish India, Lily, Jessica and Annabella the best of luck for their upcoming visit to Hungary for the FEI Young Rider European Championships and look forward to following their progress.

The final line-up for the Junior team will be confirmed at the Definite Entries stage on Monday 3 July.
