British Dressage is pleased to confirm the team line-up for the 2023 Pony European Championships, which take place later this month at Le Mans, France, from 24 – 30 July.

Selected combinations at definite entry stage are as follows (listed in alphabetical order by athlete surname):

Sofia Games (15) from Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, with Janet Oliver and Katie Oliver-Games’ Steendieks Cadillac (chestnut gelding, 2011, FS Chambertin, HOLST)

Ella Glennon (15) from Tavistock, Devon, with Debbie Glennon’s Amden Supreme Golden Dancer (palomino gelding, 2016, Dating AT x Scampi, DRP).

Abigail Gray (15) from Banchory, Aberdeenshire, with her own George Clooney B.S (grey gelding, 2011, Caesar 171 x Santano, KWPN).

Demi Howard-Cartwright (15) from Ascot, Berkshire, with her own Fin C WE (chestnut gelding, 2003, Famos x Eiger III).

As previously announced on Friday 16 June, Myles Graham was qualified and selected as a nominated entry for both the Pony and Junior teams, with the latter stated as the Selectors’ first preference.  As he cannot compete in both age groups, the nominated Pony First Reserve, Demi Howard-Cartwright, will now take his place on the Pony team.

Sofia Games was originally selected at nominated entry stage with Lauren Geraghty’s WS Jackson.  Due to a minor setback, WS Jackson is no longer able to compete at the Championships.  Therefore, the U21 Selectors have confirmed that Sofia's direct reserve, Janet Oliver and Katie Oliver-Games’ Steendieks Cadillac, will travel to Le Mans to contest the Championships instead.

We wish Sofia, Ella, Abigail and Demi the best of luck at the FEI Pony European Championships and look forward to following their progress in Le Mans later this month.
