British stars came out on top at Amsterdam CDI-W (24 - 25 January), with a resounding victory for Lottie Fry and Glamourdale, closely followed by Becky Moody who claimed two personal bests aboard Jagerbomb.

Up against a high calibre field,  Lottie Fry and Van Olst Horses’ stable star Glamourdale (Lord Leatherdale x Negro) were victorious at the eighth leg of the FEI Dressage World Cup™ 2024/2025 Western European League.

Partnered with her Paris Olympic ride, Lottie finished first in Friday’s Grand Prix with a leading score of 79.500%. The British rider's success continued for the Grand Prix Freestyle the following day, as she and the 14-year-old stallion captivated the audience with their breathtaking "Best of Britain" programme, securing the top spot on an outstanding score of 89.840%. This win marks the pair's second victory in a row this season after they secured the London International Horse Show World Cup™ qualifier at the end of 2024.“Glamourdale was amazing today,” Lottie commented at the press conference, “We’ve been working hard at home on some exercises, and that paid off today. I’m thrilled the scores reflect that. He was already incredible, but he keeps getting better. Glammy thrives in arenas like this.”

Adding to the British success, Becky Moody (pictured above) and her own and Jo Cooper’s superstar home-bred gelding Jagerbomb (Dante Weltino x Jazz) were runner up for both the Grand Prix and  Grand Prix Freestyle with two personal best scores.

Becky and the 11-year-old gelding were rewarded with a score of 77.087% for their Gand Prix performance, placing them ahead of Denmark’s Nanna Skodborg Merrald and Blue Hors Don Olymbrio on 74.370%. The duo then went on to deliver a stellar freestyle performance uplifting the crowd with their Beatles-themed programme, which earned them another impressive score of 86.500%, placing them in front of Germany’s Isabell Werth and DSP Quantaz who finished third on 85.265%.

Commenting at the press conference, Becky expressed her excitement for the future: “He’s only 11, so there is so much more to come! Today, Bomb and I were completely in sync. The crowd was behind us all the way, and Jagerbomb was thinking, Clap harder, guys! He’s such a showman.”
