In sunny Spain, Olympic rider Emma Hindle and youth rider Stella McComb have been representing Great Britain at the CDI3* Real Escuela and Sunshine Tour, held in Jerez and Vejer over three weeks (7 – 22 March 2025), with notable placings across the fixtures.

The Sunshine Tour offers riders a chance to enjoy early spring rays and fantastic competition. The CDI3* competitions in Southern Spain took place over three weeks at two iconic venues: the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Jerez de la Frontera and the Sunshine Tour in Vejer de la Frontera.

Emma Hindle contested the CDI3* classes across the first two shows in Jerez and the third show in Vejer with her two rides, the Blue Hors Zack-sired stallion Zippo M.I. and the Blue Hors Romanov-sired mare Rosmarin. The Greater Manchester-based rider’s top placings came in Jerez, where she secured podium spots in the Grand Prix Special with Zippo M.I., finishing third with a score of 66.660% in the first show and second a week later, on 65.851%.

Adding to her international experience, Stella McComb showed strong form in the Children on Horses division as she joined Emma in Jerez. Riding her Hanoverian stallion Dos Alamos (Dressage Royal x Dream of Glory), the talented 12-year-old delivered three beautifully ridden tests, securing second place finishes in the Preliminary B (67.447%), Team Test (70.000%) and Individual Test (67.699%). In Vejer, the young rider, who is based in Gibraltar, continued to show promise, placing third in the Children on Horses Individual Test with another high score of 69.074%, as well as achieving two fourth placings in the Preliminary B and Team Test.
