British Dressage List 1 judge Richard Baldwin has recently completed the FEI Transfer Up course and exam, earning FEI Level 2/3* status.
The FEI Transfer Up Course for Dressage Judges, which took place at the CDI Ornago on 14 - 16 March 2024, saw twelve judges promoted to either 2/3* or 3/4* status. Warwickshire's Richard Baldwin became the latest British Dressage judge to earn international status and commented on his upgrade: "The transfer up course was an intense three day process which comprised of video analysis assessments, a written paper assessment on rules and guidelines on judging, practical live judging of the FEI Grand Prix class and an interview with questions about dressage and judging.
"I feel very proud and honoured to join the FEI Judges community and I am forever grateful to the Judges, British Dressage and the International Dressage Officials Club who have helped me to achieve this. I look forward to continuing my development and using my knowledge to aid judge education within the sport."
