The British Dressage Selectors have announced the combinations selected to represent Great Britain at the 2024 FEI European Championships across all five Youth age categories.

Following a successful spring international season, the British Dressage U21 Selectors are pleased to confirm the combinations selected to take part in this year’s FEI Children on Horses, Pony, Junior, Young Rider and Under 25 European Championships. Four complete teams will aim for combined success, whilst an individual representative has been chosen to fly the flag at Children on Horses level.

The FEI Young Rider and Under 25 European Championships are the first to take place at St Margarethen, Austria, on 16 – 21 July, followed by the FEI Pony, Junior and Children on Horses European Championships hosted at Opglabbeek in Belgium from 23 – 28 July.

BD International Director Judy Harvey commented: “We're delighted to field a squad of experience and potential for this year's FEI European Youth Championships. It's particularly exciting that the medal winning Junior team from 2023 are reunited for another go at podium success; whilst Young Rider medallist Annabella Pidgley steps up in age category to U25s and is supported by an exciting team. The Youth and U25 Championships are also all about development, and the opportunity to compete at these events without doubt creates great riders for the future. I wish all 17 combinations and their support teams the very best of luck.

“Grateful thanks go to my co-selectors at U25 level, Jenny Ward and Anne Keen, and to the U21 selectors Nikki Herbert, Richard Baldwin and Steve Arnett for their dedication to the roles."

Congratulations to all riders who’ve worked hard to achieve progress and qualification results throughout the spring season. We wish the best of luck to all selected combinations on their respective visits to Austria and Belgium.
