Colraine Equestrian, Truro in Cornwall is over the moon to come out on top as Competition Venue winners in the SEIB Yard of the Year Awards in Association with Horse & Hound. Announced yesterday the awards were nominated by clients and competitors and then judged by a panel of equestrian experts.

Three British Dressage venues made up the shortlist in this section, Chard Equestrian Centre in Somerset and Netherton Equestrian Centre in Perth, Scotland joined Colraine as finalists.

"We are really proud to have won the award of Venue of the Year at the SEIB Yard of the Year Awards in Association with Horse & Hound," said Rachel Patrick, BD judge and one of the event organisers at Colraine Equestrian Centre. "Our British Dressage competitors are a huge part of that, apparently the wonderful comments our supports wrote about Colraine really tipped the award in our favour and for that we are truly humbled, so thank you to everyone who nominated us."

Chard Equestrian Centre took the runner up position followed by Netherton Equestrian.

Amanda Rodgers, British Dressage South and West Development Officer added, "Colraine Equestrian Centre has a very loyal competitor base and really makes an effort to look after them, so it's good to see their hard work recognised nationally in this way. Very well deserved and congratulations from all of us at BD. Also many congratulations to Chard Equestrian and Netherton Equestrian and everyone there who works so hard for our members."
