BD vacancy: Central Regional Development Officer

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join British Dressage in the important role of Regional Development Officer for the Central region. Working full-time from home, but with extensive travel, the successful candidate will cover activity throughout the Central region, promoting and developing British Dressage.

The RDO is responsible for co-ordinating and organising activity in Central region, which, as of 1 January 2020, covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Herefordshire, Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Rutland, Warwickshire and Worcestershire, in line with policy agreed by BD Technical Committees and the Board of Directors.

We're looking for an enthusiastic, energetic team player, with excellent inter-personal, communication and organisational skills. You will need to be independent and self-motivated with an in-depth knowledge of affiliated dressage, ideally located within the region.

Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, you will work closely with, and under the direction of, the volunteer Regional Committee for Central region, which includes a Chairman and representatives for coaching, rider training, judges, para dressage, marketing and BD Youth.

British Dressage has ambitious plans for development and you will take a central role in delivering a range of dynamic initiatives in this thriving region. This busy and varied role requires a flexible approach to working, with evening and weekend work an essential aspect of this position, including occasional overnight stays away from home.

Candidates will be required to have a full driving license and have access to their own car for travelling. Working from home, computer and internet access is essential, as is experience of working with Microsoft Office.

Salary: circa £30,000 (subject to experience)
