BD Technical and Regional Committee Vacancies

A number of vacancies are currently being recruited for both our technical and regional volunteer committees, offering an excellent opportunity for dressage enthusiasts to become involved in the policy decision-making and future direction of our sport.

As we enter BD’s twentieth anniversary, dressage is in an unprecedented and strong position. With record numbers of members and horses registered, and more opportunities than ever for competitors, the sport in the UK continues to flourish. Much of this success is down to the many voluntary committee members who play a vital role in the development and implementation of BD strategy.

British Dressage is fortunate to have many passionate people involved at all levels and in many different capacities – from riders to fans, from judges to trainers, from grassroots to international – everyone has a unique and valuable perspective, which is essential to the success of the sport. We welcome applications from anyone with the enthusiasm, skills and time to make a positive contribution to the sport we all love. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the team, share your ideas and work collectively in maintaining the momentum of this success as we enter our next twenty years.

Technical Committee Vacancies
The Sports Operations Technical Committee is seeking three representatives to join their dynamic team; one to focus on the area of Quest and grass roots competition, a List 4 or below judge representative, plus a Bronze/Silver member representative.
The BD Youth Technical Committee meanwhile is looking to recruit eight positions in total, each to focus on one of the following areas; Coaching, Horse Care & Education, Career Development, Youth International, Squad Test and Competition Development, plus a BD Youth Regional Rep and a BD Regional Chair.

Regional Committee Vacancies
The eight BD regional committees play an essential role in developing the sport at local level, building direct relationships with our members, officials, organisers and other key stakeholders in order to create a positive membership experience for all.

Currently, there are opportunities to join the Northern, North West, Southern and South West regional committees as they’re recruiting for vacancies in the areas of Marketing and Coaching.

These voluntary committees all have a very professional outlook, the people involved are all knowledgeable and experienced in their own fields, with each committee member bringing their enthusiasm and energy which enables the continued development of the regions.
