With just a few weeks to go until BD Presents, we’re excited to announce the rider line-up for what is promising to be two exciting and varied days of relatable and achievable sessions on coaching and training for all abilities.

Saturday 23 November

Saturday is all about the process of progressing horse and rider at the right pace, starting with youth development before looking at improving test performance while developing a partnership for success with your horse for the end goal of a happy, healthy athlete.

For the first session, Youth – progress at the right pace session, host Becky Moody will be joined by four promising youth riders at various levels, beginning with BD Youth Inter Regionals overall winner of the A Squad section, 24-year-old Anna Burns riding San Isidro and concluding with ever-popular BD Championship regular 12-year-old Theo Charnley and his 7-year-old rescue pony, RSPCA George who are competing up to Elementary level. In her second session, looking at getting your test riding competition ready, Becky along with guest presenter, Judy Harvey, will work with BD Listed 4 Judge Susan Bullock and Seabally Sergio.

As we progress through the morning sessions, presenter Sophie Wells will team up with guest presenter, Joe Midgley (Handler) and western ranch and cow horse, Remy, to explore using groundwork to develop your partnerships. Then as we take a look from the judge’s perspective, Sophie Wells and guest presenter Judy Harvey will be joined by international Grade 4 Para Dressage rider Izzy Palmer and Last Gift.

After lunch,  13-year-old youth rider Lexie Howe and Rosewater Rockstar will take to the arena alongside BDCC Level 2 coach Samantha Smith and OFS Johnson's Bay, as Sophie Wells looks at training and developing a partnership ready for Medium level. This will be followed by Area Festival and Associated Championship winners, Sam Roberts and Moelview Prince Consort joining Becky Moody to consider how you then look to move up to Advanced and Prix St Georges. Saturday concludes with a showcase of Becky Moody and Jagerbomb’s Grand Prix freestyle as she discusses Bomb’s journey to Olympic success.
