We’re now live with both new systems! Hopefully you’ve had chance to have a good look around and familiarise yourself with your favourite pages. Many of you are now attempting to log on for the first time so we thought it might help to walk you through the process.

The new website doesn’t require you to log on to see the majority of the content. For members, the only area you’ll need access to is the newsletter area which hosts past issues. Over the coming weeks, we’ll be launching pages for judges, organisers, stewards and coaches which will also only be accessible by logging in.

The new area you’ll want to log into is your membership profile on BD online where you can manage your account, renew, join and renew horses, update the info we hold on you and even upload a profile picture.

If you’ve not logged on to the new website before or BD online, you’ll need to set up a new password – you’re previous credentials from the old website won’t work.

Click on the ‘Membership login’ link which is in the navy blue banner – at the top on a PC or click on the ‘hamburger’ menu top right on a tablet/mobile and then it’s at the bottom. This will open a new window for BD online which invites you to sign into your member profile. As it's a separate site, you can also link to BD online at any time - you don't need to go through the website. Save or bookmark the URL: https://members.britishdressage.online/auth/loginbdonline

The top green box is for your first visit which will take you through validating your membership and setting your password. Your email address and old password will not work. Click the green box which will ask you to confirm your credentials so please have your membership number, date of birth and post code to hand. If you don’t know your membership number, give the office a call on 02476 698832 or 836 and after a security check, we can give it you.
Input your details and then it display the email we hold for you on the system. If this is correct, hit the navy blue ‘send email’ button. If it’s not the correct email or you wish to update it, just delete what’s filled in and type in your new address. This will automatically update the system for you. Remember that all members require a unique email now so if you share an email, it may not allow you to log in and you’ll need to update with an alternative or call the office for help.

You’ll then be sent an email to that address containing a unique link to set your password. This should come fairly instantly – if it doesn’t, check your junk folder as they sometimes end up in there. If you’re still having trouble, call the office and we can arrange to resend the email. For security reasons, we cannot set passwords.

Once your email arrives, click on the link which will take you back to BD online where you can set your password. For increased security, you’ll need a password which is at least eight characters long and contains at least once capital letter and at least one number. Input your membership number and new password which you’ll be asked to confirm and that should get you in – you can now start exploring. Go through your profile and make sure all mandatory fields – which are starred – are completed, particularly date of birth, or you could experience future login issues.

Once you’ve set your password, when you log in in future, you’ll need to supply your email address and password on the main screen. If you should forget your password, there’s a button to go through the reset process which is similar to your first set up.

If you’re in BD online, you just return to the website by clicking on its tab in your browser as BD online will be open in a new window.

You’ll only be prompted to login to the website itself when you visit a page which contains restricted content when you’ll need your email address and the password you’ve set.

The office is open 8:30am to 8:00pm Wednesday and Thursday and then normal hours, 8:30am to 5:00pm from Friday onward.
