Following the viewing trial hosted at Keysoe earlier this month, the Senior Selection Panel can now announce the horses selected to represent Great Britain at this year’s FEI WBFSH Dressage World Breeding Championships for Young Horses in Verden, 9 – 13 December.
The championships were scheduled for August but were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and will now move indoors at the iconic German venue.
Chief Selector Judy Harvey commented; “It’s been a longer process this year with revised selection criteria and my fellow selectors did a great job going through videos to narrow combinations down for the selection trial at Keysoe. I’d like to thank all the riders and owners who brought horses to the selection trial and to Ferdi Eilberg and Richard Baldwin for judging. It was an unusual measure but this has not been a normal year and everyone’s flexibility is appreciated. The standards were high and it was clear that riders had used the time away from competition wisely. The six horses we’ve selected are exceptional and a credit to their riders, owners and breeders and we’re proud to be sending such a strong contingent to fly the British flag in Germany this December.”
