Addington High Profile Show

The first big UK dressage fixture of 2018, Addington Manor High Profile Show, gets underway this week at Addington Manor Equestrian Centre in Buckinghamshire, 12 – 14 January 2018.

If you’re looking for a winter fix of dressage, then look no further. Addington High Profile is centrally located and typically attracts a high quality entry with many of our leading riders making a start to their 2018 campaigns. There’s plenty on offer for visitors to see, with classes from Medium to Grand Prix, two evening performances, FEI Pony tests and an afternoon of freestyles on Sunday.

Forward for the Small Tour divisions are some exciting combinations including Charlotte Dujardin with her eight-year-old mare Florentina VI (pictured), the gorgeous grey making her second Prix St Georges appearance on Sunday. Others to watch are Emile Faurie with Shilo, a young horse he thinks an awful lot of, Vicky Thompson-Winfield with Artist, the palomino with whom she’s enjoyed some great CDI placings in 2017 then, in the Inter II, London 2012 medallist Laura Tomlinson with the high class stallion Duvals Capri Sonne Jr.

Talented young riders are out in force at Small Tour, including Rebecca Bell and Angus Corrie-Deane, who will certainly give their senior counterparts a run for their money!

On Saturday night, starting at 7.45pm, is the Grand Prix. The start list includes Tom Goode with Dior III, a combination which came second in the Grand Prix at Vale View High Profile Show last October; Sonnar Murray-Brown and Erlentanz who won the Grand Prix at Keysoe High Profile in December, and fellow World Class Podium Potential rider Sarah Millis with Hofjuwel who were third in the Special at the 2017 Waregem CDI. Louise Bell and Into the Blue who posted plus-68% in the Special at Saumur CDI feature as do European Championship team silver medallists Michael Eilberg and the now 18-year-old dressage favourite, Marakov.

It’s been great to see British Olympian Emma Hindle back in the competition arena, and here she has two rides – ten-year-old gelding Diesel VII and the 12-year-old mare Romy Del Sol, both in the Grand Prix.

Entry to the show is free on all three days.

The cafeteria overlooking the Indoor International Arena serving a range of snacks, hot and cold food and drinks, will be open for the whole show and the restaurant is available on Friday and Saturday night.
