Susan Pape, who is spending the winter season in Wellington, Florida, for the 2024 Adequan® Global Dressage Festival (AGDF), continued her good form with four top-two placings and a win at the second CDI of seven-part series (24 – 29 January 2024).

Riding the 10-year-old stallion Harmony’s V-Plus (Vivaldi x Fürst Romancier), pictured last year, Susan placed second to Germany’s Felicitas Hendricks (Drombusch OLD) in the CDI4* Grand Prix before winning the CDI4* Grand Prix Special on a strong score of 71.979%.

“It’s only V-Plus’s third Grand Prix Special,” Pape told AGDF. “In the beginning he wasn’t sure where he had to go, but he felt focused and stayed very with me. He’s pretty amazing already, but give him a couple more months to gain strength and he will be a really nice Grand Prix horse.”

Competing in the CDI3* with Harmony Amateur Sports Foundation’s 15-year-old stallion Harmony’s Eclectisch (Zenon Olivi), Susan also took the runner-up spot in both the Grand Prix and Special on scores of 68.609% and 69.617% respectively.

The AGDF features seven weeks of CDI competition over three months and runs through to 31 March.
