Although we're just two months into 2022, British Dressage is already off to a flying start for the year.  Our membership and horse registrations have both hit new record levels and this year’s Petplan Equine Winter Area Festivals have enjoyed record entries and starters.

Following the devastating invasion by Russia last week, the EEF has been in regular contact with the Ukrainian Equestrian Federation and the FEI to offer assistance and support. The Ukrainian Equestrian Federation has now created a foundation in order to manage offers of accommodation and accept physical donations at a hub in Poland.

At last a Regional Championship that wasn’t blasted by wind and rain! With over 310 class entries over the four days (26 February - 01 March 2022), it was a busy show and the standard of competition was very high.

The 2022 Winter Regional Championships continued last week with the fourth fixture of the eight-part series taking place at Bishop Burton College in East Yorkshire (22 – 26 February 2022). Five days of competition saw twenty further winners crowned and many coming a step closer to their NAF Five Star Winter Championships goals.

British Dressage proudly announced KBIS as its insurance partner last summer and can now reveal that the brand will take on title sponsorship of one of the sport’s showcase series, the British Dressage Young Horse and Pony Championships. Having run for over 20 years, the ever-popular championship is the leading competition for breeders and young horse producers and has started the careers of a number of horses who’ve gone on to Grand Prix and to win medals for Great Britain.
