Recap on the highlights from four top days of dressage at the LeMieux National Championships, where we celebrated 31 new champions, 25 years of British Dressage and 10 years of support by title sponsors LeMieux.

It's been a sensational Sunday at the LeMieux National Championships - what a fantastic way to wrap up this year's competition! Riesenbeck travelling reserve, Becky Moody got her time to shine winning the Kudos Grand Prix Freestyle, Carl Hester became LeMieux National Champion, winning this title for the 11th time in his career, plus the future generation of athletes were on show in the U21 classes and the KBIS Young Horse Championships.

Super Saturday at the LeMieux Nationals produced a first-rate day of competition, with the showground buzzing as Britain's top riders stepped into the arenas for the day's titles. 

Friday at the LeMieux Nationals didn't disappoint as the sun shone down on Somerford Park. With two brand new first-time champions, alongside some familiar faces, the competition heated up as day two drew to a close.

An early rainstorm cleared the way for a bright day one at the LeMieux National Championships, where ten new champions were crowned at the flagship event in the BD calendar. 

The Scottish National Equestrian Centre in West Lothian hosted their Summer Regional Championships on the 29 - 30 July and homebred winners were very much to the fore.

The stars shone bright in Riesenbeck on day two of the FEI Para Dressage European Championships, with new British team members Charlotte Cundall and FJ Veyron reaching new heights for a top-five place, while experienced team campaigner Sophie Wells OBE displayed LJT Egebjerggards Samoa’s immense potential on the young mare’s Championship debut to finish sixth.

With three different championships at Hartpury (23-24 August 2023), para dressage riders and their supporters enjoyed two days of serious competition, mixed in with fun and friendship. The new Summer Freestyle Championships, run alongside the Bronze and Silver Championships, produced multiple titles for Felicity Marriott, Lacey O’Hara and Alice Begg. The RDA Championships, in association with British Dressage, gave riders the chance to experience a full-on para dressage championship environment.

Always a highlight of the year for BD Youth members, the 2023 edition of Sheepgate British Dressage Under-25 Championships (21 – 26 August 2023) once again welcomed a wealth of young British talent at the popular Lincolnshire venue, where a fantastic atmosphere, friendly rivalry and great team spirit prevailed.
